FAQ

We know you might not have all the answers… yet.

  • All excursions take place within a 90-mile radius of our designated meeting points, making them accessible yet remote enough for a genuine wilderness experience.

  • While our packages are designed for most skill levels, we recommend all participants be familiar with the three F’s of entry-level survival skills (firemaking, foraging, and first aid).

  • Safety is our top priority. While you’ll be out on your own, we provide detailed trail maps, a solar-powered emergency communication device, and once-a-day checkins from our team during your journey.

  • The short answer? No. To ensure a truly immersive and distraction-free experience, electronic devices, including iPhones, are not permitted on our hikes. Exceptions are made for individuals with children that may need to be reachable by them; we will provide you with a prepaid voice-only “dumbphone”.

  • Part of the Wandr experience is the opportunity to forage your own food. You may bring an empty water bottle (we recommend a LifeStraw®) and up to three small, pre-packaged food items for the journey. If you have dietary restrictions that prevent you from foraging, please send a doctor’s note to your coach at least 2 weeks prior to your adventure. Accommodations will be made on a case-by-case basis.

  • Our offerings are tailored for athletic, thrill-seeking executive-level professionals and leaders looking for clarity, personal growth, and a break from the demands of their daily lives.

  • Reimbursement policies vary, so it’s best to ask your boss or HR department directly to see if this qualifies as a professional development expense.
